OK. So I’m eating my words. I guess you can’t escape helping people get to places you’ve been in. To help my beloved friend/s (ehem Rochelle), here are some quick tricks to La Union.

  1. Take a bus to Laoag (at least this is what I did). The fare is around P463. The bus ride will take around 6-7 hours. Don’t ask me about the number of stopovers because I was busy ‘kissing’ my seatmate the whole time.
  2. Alight at Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union. It’s along the highway and once there, you can get around your hotel.

Going home
You can catch a bus along the highway 24/7. Buses from the more northern parts of the Philippines are passing by until the wee hours of dawn.

There are different surf schools there. The most popular is the San Juan Surf  School. Feel free to ask Luke for a photo op. I have so many friends with photos of him. View their rates here.

Make sure you know what you’re doing. Haha.

If you’re into the high end side, there are food places to check out like the Sebay Surf Resort. Also, there was this resto that triggered my curiosity but I never got to try. It looked promising. Maybe when I go back.

If you’re a food junkie but aren’t really that choosy, there are lots of karinderia around.

I did this quickly for a friend (ehem Rochelle). 🙂 Feel free to leave a comment if you have other questions. 🙂
